Being the company that has been in operation for more than 30 years, PT Inco is responsible for the welfare of the local communities in its operation areas that cover three provinces, South Sulawesi, Central Sulawesi and South East Sulawesi.

For PT Inco, prosperous local communities are bridges to achieve one of the companies objectives, that is to strengthen partnership and cooperation with the government, employees and local communities.

Therefore since the beginning, community development program has received full attention from the company.

However, there is no program that can be implemented in one attempt, similarly with community development program implemented by PT Inco.

Our experince has proven that the effort to empower the community must be implemented with strong determination and earnest commitment from all related parties, the community and PT Inco. Therefore PT Inco continues to evaluate the implementation of community development program so that the program will achieve its goals which include shifting the program's paradigm from small elite group-based program to community-based program and from physical development to non-physical development.

The paradigm shift to community development program has gradually shown its results. Many agreed that in its implementation, community development program tends to meet the needs and problems of the local communities.

However, the most important result achieved by PT Inco's community development program in South Sulawesi, Central Sulawesi and South East Sulawesi is the development of synergic cooperation program between PT Inco, local community and the government.
